The endless summer months have finally arrived, yet in Florida, summer seems to be year-round with lows and highs throughout the year.

And just like the weather, my emotions and mood tend to follow. The beginning of summer is a hopeful season, we dream of sunshine, long nights, good company, and endless fun. But sometimes there are hiccups throughout the path we need to face and overcome.

Lately, I caught myself being swept away in the constant go I haven't been able to see things as they are. And when we're in this mindset, we don't realize what we're doing to the people around us and only think about ourselves. While it's good to remain selfish at times, life's also about being selfless, just because we enter and leave the world alone, doesn't mean we should ever live it alone.

Our people are the ones that make life so grand and worth it all in the end. And sometimes it takes being removed from a setting to realize what we had and what we want.

This summer I'm devoting my time to make good with people I care about, take up new opportunities, and also realize there is so much more out there than the little things we let ourselves get caught up on.
